Practical Data Centre Management (KCO0504)

This two-day course has been developed by extensive research in many data centre environments to identify best practices, approaches and management techniques.

New technologies such as blade and virtual systems stretch data centres to their limits, so improved management techniques and controls are needed.

This seminar is well suited to designers, consultants, engineers, managers, administrators, project teams and vendors of data centre solutions. Course exercises and interaction with other delegates help to build confidence and personal understanding of many issues involved in managing data centres.

course information

practical data centre management
Our course will help you to optimise the infrastructure in the data centre, reduce the time taken to
complete projects, reduce the operating costs and develop internal control processes. Specific areas
covered include space management, change control, capacity planning, provisioning, risk control, cost reduction, documentation techniques, toolsets and reporting. The course also looks at the overlap with existing management frameworks such as ITIL, ISO20000, ISO 27001, CoBiT and their impact on data centre management.
